POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS at KIT, Institut für Theoretische Teilchenphysik

The Institut für Theoretische Teilchenphysik (TTP) invites applications for several postdoctoral positions in theoretical particle physics starting in fall 2013. Applicants should have experience in collider physics, flavor physics, weak interactions, top physics, supersymmetry or perturbative QCD.

The TTP participates in the Sonderforschungsbereich/Transregio Computational Particle Physics, which provides an umbrella grant for phenomenological high–energy physics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Universität Karlsruhe), RWTH Aachen, Humboldt– Universität Berlin and DESY Zeuthen. The TTP is further part of the KIT Center Elementary Particle and Astroparticle Physics(KCETA) consisting of six theoretical and seven experimental research groups, and of the newly established Karlsruhe School of Elementary Particle and Astroparticle Physics: Science and Technology (KSETA).

Current faculty members and postdoctoral researchers in the TTP are M. Brucherseifer, G. Chalons, K. Chetyrkin, L. di Luzio, T. Kasprzik, J. Kühn, T. Liu, P. Marquard, L. Mi- haila, J. Mondejar, U. Nierste, M. Steinhauser, C. Studerus, T. Ueda and M. Wiebusch. For further information please consult www-ttp.physik.uni-karlsruhe.de and www.kceta.kit.edu.

Applications including a list of publications, CV, a statement of research interests, and three letters of reference (preferably by separate mail) should be sent to

Martina Schorn,
Institut für Theoretische Teilchenphysik,
Karlsruhe Institute of Technology,
D-76128 Karlsruhe,

or electronically to martina.schorn@kit.edu. The deadline for applications is December 9, 2012. Later applications will be considered as long as openings exist.

INSTITUT FÜR THEORETISCHE TEILCHENPHYSIK UND KOSMOLOGIE RWTH AACHEN UNIVERSITY POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS

The Institute for Theoretical Particle Physics and Cosmology at the RWTH Aachen plans to make several appointments in theoretical particle physics at the postdoctoral level (TVL E13). The appointments are for two years starting in the fall of 2013. They may be extended for one year subject to funding.

The Institute for Theoretical Particle Physics and Cosmology consists of Prof. Werner Bernreuther, Prof. MichałCzakon, Prof. Michael Krämer, permanent staff members Dr. Alexander Mückand Dr.Małgorzata Worek (to join the group beginning 2013), several postdoctoral fellows, and a number of doctoral and diploma/master students. The interests of the group include a wide range of topics in particle physics phenomenology and field theory (LHC phenomenology, Higgs and top quark physics, CP violation, strong and electroweak interactions, supersymmetry and other extensions of the standard model, perturbative field theory and computational tools for colliders beyond leading order).

The group is part of the Sonderforschungsbereich/Transregio “Computational Particle Physics", theHelmholtz Alliances “Physics at the Terascale" and “Astroparticle Physics", and various EU Marie Curie Research Training Networks. There are close links with the experimental groups in Aachen working on high-energy collider and astroparticle physics. Further informationcan be obtained at the institute's website:
http://www.physik.rwth-aachen.de/institute/theorie-e/

Applicants should provide a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, and a brief description of their research interests (preferably in a single pdf file). Applications should be sent to the e-mail address:

ttkpostdoc@physik.rwth-aachen.de

before December 1, 2012. In addition, the applicant shouldarrange for three letters of recommendation to be sent to the same address.
