The Institute for Theoretical Physics at the University of Münster invites applications for a

PhD Fellowship
(Salary Scale TV-L E 13)

in the group of Jun. Prof. Anna Kulesza. The term of appointment is three years with a flexible starting
date. Financially, the fellowship corresponds to a half-time position (weekly working time of 19
hours and 55 minutes) according to the German salary scale TV-L E 13. The teaching duty amounts
to 2 hours per week.

The applicant is expected to carry out independent research at PhD level on topics in theoretical particle
physics, in particular in the area of perturbative QCD and physics beyond the Standard Model,
with special emphasis on Large Hadron Collider phenomenology.

The prerequisite for this appointment is a M.Sc. or equivalent degree in physics. Excellent knowledge
of quantum field theory, computer algebra (e.g. Mathematica, Maple) and numerical programming
(Fortran or C++) are expected. The appointment can lead to a doctoral degree.
